We’re raising our kids as Citizens of the World, and travel is a huge part of their education (and ours!) Experiencing other cultures, languages, foods, customs – it’s all helping them learn the world is bigger than our little neighborhood. And yet, we’re not so different from each other after all. Join us for the journey!
As two dads raising two girls, we’re naturally going to have occasional experiences from a slightly different perspective. Our goal is to help the world see our family as the same as everyone else’s. We face the same parenting challenges, school issues, household experiences and all the rest. (Maybe we’re just doing it with a little extra style.)
Jon loves to cook and share his family recipes, sometimes with a modern hack or two thrown in to make it easier for today’s tastes. We pass on cool new product finds, deals on things we love and ways to cook for family and friends that won’t break the bank (or make you crazy!) Plus we just started a fun new cooking show called “Dinner’s Gonna Be a Little Late Tonight!”
When we raise our kids as Global Citizens, they grow up to change the world. We’re focused on empowering our girls to reach across oceans, nationalities, race, politics and economics to know we all have a responsibility to make the world a better place. Right here, right now.
Ah, parenthood. It’s the best thing that ever happened to us, and it does not come without it’s challenges – for any of us. We’re sharing what we’ve learned, from our experiences, sage wisdom from experts we’ve met, and more. After all, we parents need to stick together. We need all the support we can get in these crazy times.
Our family loves to travel. We’ve been to more than 20 countries and spanned the globe on our travel adventures. Sometimes we love the lap of luxury, sometimes we get grimy in the outback, sometimes it’s a little of both. The one common thread is our love for experiencing new places, learning about their history and culture, and hanging with the locals. No tour buses for this family!
Life is too short to be miserable, and we choose happiness. We seek a healthy balance of exercise, diet, stimulation and zen to keep our family running smoothly. Part of that sensibility comes from inside, and part can be integrated through products, new information, science, supplements and more. We share our findings to help you choose your right path too.
Why 2 Dads?
As the story goes, love conquers all.
Love is love. As parents, we have a lot of love to give our kids and that is why we sought to create our family through open adoptions in the US. When gay marriage rights were at stake and President Obama spoke out in support, our daughter Sophia wrote him a letter that resonated virally around the world. That’s the kind of love and understanding we seek to spread. We hope you’ll join us!
