Last week as we prepared to attend a big conference in New York, I realized my home office was short on supplies. And by short, I mean we were out of necessary things for our trip. With no time to run around and grab all the supplies we needed and still get ready for travel, I went online to officedepot.com and scored!

Really, no matter where you’re located, Office Depot can reach you quickly. And thank goodness for that, because I had no time to run out and buy the things I needed. Having them delivered to our front door is the best thing since sliced bread.
Preparing for a Conference in a Pinch
Triton and I were invited to speak at a travel and tourism conference in New York City, and were greatly honored by the request. Of course, we were a little nervous too. After all, we would be onstage in front of several hundred tourism executives from some of the biggest hotel companies and destinations from around the world.
In the hustle and bustle of getting ready for our trip, arranging travel, packing up the kids and ourselves, we didn’t have much time to prepare for our speaking engagement until close to our travel date. We sat down together to discuss our talking points and realized I had run out of some critical office supplies. Nowhere in the house could we find file folders and tabs to organize all our notes and paperwork.
Normally when we travel, I like to have redundant files for those just-in-case moments I’m sure will never happen but sometimes actually do. Because of this, I have digital files on my laptop and still print out important travel documents on my trusty new HP OfficeJet Pro printer from Office Depot.
When I went to file these papers in all the right folders for our trip, no folders could be found.

Luckily, Office Depot was there to give me a hand online. I searched on the website to find out about my delivery options, and quickly found out I was eligible for delivery at my house on the next business day. This was perfect, because we would be getting on a plane soon after that!
My order arrived at my door the next afternoon, all packed up nice and ready to go.

Next day delivery was speedy enough for me this time, but what I was in an even bigger rush? I learned that Office Depot has still got me covered. Free expedited delivery is available in most locations too! As long as I spend $45 or more (before tax and after discounts) and place my order by 5 pm, I can expect to receive my supplies the next day. Did I say free delivery on orders $45 or more? Yes, yes I did. And if you are a Business Select Customer, then you get free expedited delivery with every order regardless of the purchase amount.
Not only was I in a rush and Office Depot came through for me, but they did not even upcharge me for the service of rushing my order to the house.
Now, that is good customer service.
Oh and that conference in New York? Yeah, we killed it. Good thing Office Depot helped us get organized in advance!
